Coach Suttenfield enters his 9th year as the Assistant Coach for the Pirates Baseball team.  Prior to joining the Pirates, Suttenfield had success as a coach for the St. Louis Gamers club organization and at the high school ranks for New Bloomfield High School.  While at New Bloomfield for 4 years, the team won 3 district championships and a state title in his final season.
Additionally, Suttenfield was the Head Coach of the Lemay Governors in the Lewis and Clark Baseball League, a collegiate wood bat league.  During three summers from 2014-16, the team compiled a 74-29 record and played for the Discovery Cup championship each year, winning the title in the summer of 2015.  All three years the Governors had the leagues best regular season record.
Suttenfield played collegiately at Cornell College for four years.  During that time, he pitched primarily out of the bullpen and ranks 3rd in single season saves for his efforts as a senior in 2007.  Suttenfield graduated from Cornell with a double major in Sports Management and Economics & Business.  Suttenfield completed graduate school at American Public University with a Master of Science in Sports Management with Honors in 2016.
Coach Suttenfield is married to Kimberly Suttenfield and has one son, Barrett.
